Cause and Effect Leather Belt
Cause and Effect is the creative outlet for artisan Billy Moore. Based in Tennessee, Billy sources his leather from the Horween tannery in Chicago then soaks it in a local Tennessee river in the Smoky Mountains. He uses abrasive rocks to distress and add texture to each piece. Many of his belts are also handpainted and sanded to create a scrumptious, vintage look that has become his signature.
The buckles are hand forged by Billy too, utilizing brass, nickel and sterling but prefering to work with copper when possible, as "its softness allows for a lot of texture and manipulation, and the patina is incredible."
