Love What You Do is a mini-series of moving and still images portraiting artisans and small businesses that we love and collaborate.

We are excited to continue this project featuring Robert True Ogden and Natalie Page, the creative force behind Lostine Home Goods, a design-built studio of furniture, lighting, and home accessories.  Lostine is based in Philadelphia, PA, where they design, prototype, and manufacture small batch products with a team of artisans.

Rare is the opportunity to get a glimpse inside an artist's studio to observe their process and the body of work. We are grateful to have the opportunity to document both Robert and Natalie's creative processes in each of their creative environment.

Robert and Natalie have very different approaches and styles to their own collection RTO Lighting and NPage Studio. Yet, when it comes to Lostine, each object in the showroom contains form, color, and functionality transformed by the amalgamation of style and timelessness.

Scroll down for a video of our visit to Lostine.

We have always loved the infectious energy and excitement when entering a bustling production facility, seeing artisans turning in the wood workshop, torching in the welding station, milling in the metal section, casting in the ceramic room, and packing meticulously in the shipping department.

From our experience, we know running a production facility is not easy, and it was inspiring to see the Lostine team move through their workspaces with ease and grace.

Robert is a self-taught metalworking artisan and started making lights 20 years ago.  Robert and Natalie are both avid antique collectors.  In the RTO collection, Robert presents playful take on lighting when he uses found object on one-of-a-kind lamp.  SKU canvas tote in Lostine studio

Natalie focuses on elegantly simple forms and a monochromatic palette in her own work, leaving colorful interpretations when she works with Robert on Lostine.
