Port Canvas for SKU, Edition I 2023.

Our approach to collaborations is quite personal, rooted in a deep appreciation of the product and its history. We are drawn to the compelling narratives of artisans and founders, admire their commitment to support the local community, and are captivated by their craftsmanship and tradition.

In this limited-edition collaboration with Port Canvas, a heritage brand from the charming town of Kennebunkport (pronounced Kenny-Bunk-Port), Maine, you will see why we think they are a great match for SKU.

Kennebunkport, with its rich legacy of shipbuilding, boat crafting, and sailing traditions, provided the perfect backdrop for Port Canvas when they opened their original store and factory in Dock Square back in 1968. Their ingenuity shone through as they repurposed sailcloth scraps into thousands of exceptional products.

Much like our own close-knit team at SKU, the Port Canvas family is small and resourceful. Each bag is mindfully crafted by local artisans who faithfully adhere to an original measurement chart passed down through generations.

We're thrilled to present a collaboration with Port Canvas, featuring two exceptional products that are crafted in Maine and beautifully finished in Los Angeles.

The Reversed Tote Bag is a modern Clipper Tote. Meticulously handcrafted from #8 Duck Canvas, a robust double-filled, tightly woven cotton fabric, these carry-all are a testament to durability and reliability.

The term "duck" comes from the Dutch word doek, which refers to a linen canvas once used for sailors' white trousers and outerwear

The Cruiser Duffel Bag, a contemporary interpretation of the timeless Sailor Duffel. Its cylindrical design makes it the perfect choice for a weekend escape. The top features a secure 10G zipper for effortless closure, while a convenient side zipper pocket offers quick access to essential items such as phones, keys, and wallets.
