SKU California, a concept store in Silver Lake

SKU was born in New York in the spring of 2007.

And our first shop has been on Lafayette Street in Soho since the beginning.

The shop featured industrial and reclaimed fixtures, found objects from flea markets, and handwritten prices on a chalkboard.

Over the years, we slowly moved all the production back to the USA, to Los Angeles, because we wanted more control over the products.
When we reached that milestone of having all of our SKU products made in the USA, it was time to open a shop on the west coast close to our manufacturing and warehouse.

SKU in Silver Lake is our concept for California living.

While SKU's main line is relaxed, washed, and soft, SKU California is more textural with pigment garment-dyed colors that are extra faded and sun-baked. In this shop, you will find goods inspired by a California outdoor lifestyle.

We take our time imagining our shops. With SKU California in Silver Lake, we embraced local aesthetics such as Portola lime wash and roman clay paints and worked with local artisans on custom fixtures. And the update is constant.
