It is no secret that the fashion industry is one of the most wasteful and polluting industries.  At SKU, we are working to reduce our company's carbon foot print by producing locally in the states because we believe

 

Less shipping = Less energy consumption =  Less pollution. 

 

However, we know this is not enough.  During our production process, we also produce excess inventory and discard materials. 

 

RESKU is an endeavor that was born as we re-examine our design and production process.  We look for ways to reuse, reimagine, repurpose, and rescue what we would have considered excess or waste. The result is collection of garments with design details that highlight the beauty of mending, fraying, and other hand touched details.
